The Law Offices of Robert L. Bachman opened their doors in January 1984 specializing in matters relating to the construction, engineering, and architectural fields, including the rendering of contract, litigation, labor, and general corporate advice. To this was added a Debt Collection Department providing legal services for all types of delinquent debts. We are here to help you reach your business goals while seeing that your rights are protected now as well as beyond the completion of your project. We appear in all jurisdictions throughout California and Nevada, including Superior, Appellate, and Federal District Courts. The firm is active with several contractor organizations in Orange County and nationally, which include the Construction Financial Management Association and Associated General Contractors.

Robert L. Bachman

Robert L. Bachman is the principal of the firm. Mr. Bachman was born in Los Angeles, California in 1949. His preparatory education was at the University of California, Irvine, and the California State University at Fullerton. Mr. Bachman received a Juris Doctorate Degree in 1973 from the University of California, Davis, where he wrote for the Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif, Honor Society.

He was admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court in 1973, and before the United States Supreme Court in 1984. Mr. Bachman was admitted to practice before the Nevada Supreme Court and U.S. District Court in Nevada in 1996.

From from 1973 to 1975 Mr. Bachman worked for Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps. For a ten (10) year period, from 1974 through 1984, he held the positions of Corporate Counsel and Vice President as well as serving as General Counsel for various publicly traded corporations in the engineering and architectural fields, including VTN Corporation, Ultrasystems, Incorporated, and Marmac, to name a few.

Mr. Bachman has successfully tried cases at the Superior Court level in arbitration and appealed cases before the State and Federal Appellate Courts, including the California Supreme Court’s decision in Valley Circle Estates vs. VTN Consolidated, Inc., et al., and the Nevada Supreme Court’s Decision in The Resort at Summerlin, et al.

Mr. Bachman is currently on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of California and has been a Director of the Construction Financial Management Association.

In addition to the foregoing, Mr. Bachman is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of California, Orange County Bar Association, State Bar of Nevada and Clark County Bar Association.
